The Trust was set up in the early 1960's after Grace Gardner left a sum of money in Trust for the benefit of senior citizens resident within the boundary of Northallerton Town. This was handed over to the Northallerton Town Council to administer in the early 1980's and the proceeds from the investments go to providing activities for this group. Currently the Trust sponsors swimming sessions and runs an outing in the summer and Christmas shopping in November.
